VIDEO PRODUCTION

SHOOTING STYLES

Documentary

Documentary-style filming is compiled mainly of handheld shots. Documentary-style is extremely popular right now, i.e. any show on the NBC Thursday night line up. Besides being very popular, the upside to this style is that more small moments are captured because the need to set up equipment and stabilizers is eliminated. It also gives more of a “real-life” look.

Cinematic

Cinematic-style filming is compiled of shots filmed on stabilizers. Many shots are planned ahead of time to consolidate for the time to setup these stabilizers. Sliders, steadicams and tripods are all utilized to capture a professional and film-like image.

Comparison

Below you can see a side-by-side comparison of the two shooting styles that we offer. If you would like to see them individually, please visit the “Video Production” page on the REQUEST form.

EDITING STYLES

Traditional

Traditional editing style is a common look for Wedding videos. The style is black and white which gives the video an authentic feel.

Modern

Modern editing style has a higher contrast and looks very clean and crisp.

Retro

Retro editing style is a very popular style right now. We apply filters and effects to give the video a polaroid look.

Vintage

Vintage editing style has filters to give an aged look. We control the decay of the film so that it looks older without losing quality.

Comparison

Below are examples of the Documentary and Cinematic shooting styles with side by side comparisons of each editing style.
